First of all, we have known each other for several years as we are all members of the same Sunday School class. Secondly, we did not sell or buy any real estate. On January 16, 2016, we had a house fire. It didn't completely burn, but it would call for the complete gutting of the interior walls and roof replacement. We would be out of the house for at least 6 months. Initially, our insurance was putting us up in a nearby hotel, but then Mary Lou and Gene offered one of the houses that they had on the market, for us to move into while our house was being rebuilt. We moved into a very nice home in Helena, the insurance rented furniture for us for the duration, and a very worrying situation became almost pleasant. They didn't have to do it, and no one would have thought anything about it if they hadn't of giving us such a great opportunity, but they did do it, and they will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Oh, BTW, we aren't the only ones that have benefitted from the Vonderau's large hearts, but I'll let others tell their own stories.
